RF / ANTENNA TECHOLOGIST - Location: Kemptville, ONTario
TIL-TEK Antennae Inc. a world leader in the design and manufacture of base station, CPE and customized antenna solutions is seeking an RF / Antenna Technologist for its Kemptville, ON, facility.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Product Development, the Antenna Technologist as part of the Product Development Group will be working in a team focused on the development of antenna products ranging in frequency from 600MHz to 6GHz. The RF / Antenna Technologist will be involved in all aspects of the product development cycle from initial prototyping through to the realization of commercial antenna products for manufacturing. The successful candidate must exhibit practical hands-on experience putting designs into practice, along with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, fabrication and test of passive RF components and PCBs.
Antenna measurement, test setup, and data collection.
Fabrication and test of prototype antennas including pattern and gain measurements.
Documentation of prototype test results (report writing).
Calibration & maintenance of RF test equipment.
Creation of 2D/3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings.
Candidate Requirements:
Post secondary education (Diploma of Technology) in electronics with five years industry experience in the field of RF or Antenna technology.
Experience in troubleshooting using RF test equipment is required.
Drafting experience using 2D/3D (CAD) software, and MSOffice required.
Experience with antenna test equipment (VNA, SNA, Anechoic Chambers, Outdoor Antenna Test Ranges) is preferred.
